April Joy Curcio started dance at BSDA at age 5 and was a former member of Encore dance team at Brandon School of Dance Arts. She has studied dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro and modern for over 30 years. She has three children named Katelyn, Anthony, and Christina. She has been married to her amazing husband Ken for 23 years. April has experience in teaching dance for 24 years in BSDA, Hillsborough County Schools, Judy Kay’s Dance, School Dance Unlimited, Vantage Pointe and for a Home school Resource Center. She has attended 4 years of college, and will continue to pursue her degree in Dance. She will be attending dance conventions to learn the latest choreography, and technology. Certified Barre Above Instructor and Trapeze Flowga at Flow Fitness Boutique currently.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, the beach, listening to Spirit FM and exercising. Our business name comes from her daughter Katelyn since her middle name is Joy. She has passion for mind, body & spirit & eating clean. Never depriving herself too. Follow your dreams they are you destiny placed in your heart by God.
Miss Alicia has been dancing since the age of 4 years old. She began her studies with Pinewood School of Dance and was a soloist in their dance company Pinewood Dance Company, winning many awards and medals at numerous competitions in the New York and Connecticut areas. She then studied at Ballet Arts, and was a soloist in Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance with the Dutchess Ballet Company. She has also studied with the American Academy of Ballet under the instruction of Mignon Furman from age 10 to 17. At the American Academy of Ballet she participated in the Performance Awards program and received the highest honor of Gold with Distinction for her Level 8 performance. She has taken master classes with Susan Jaffe of ABT, Stella Abrera of ABT, Violette Verdy of the Paris Opera Ballet and New York City Ballet, and Brian Loftus of the Royal Ballet. She has performed in numerous ballets, including excerpts from Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La fille Mal Gardee, Sleeping Beauty, the Nutcracker, and other independently choreographed ballets. Although her main training is in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Ballet, she has also taken classes and performed in the styles of lyrical, jazz, tap, modern, and folk dance. She studied Art and Art History at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, where she also continued her dance career taking dance classes throughout her time in college. She was involved with the Theatre community as well performing in Jekyll & Hyde, The Heroine Party, The Bacchae, The Suitcase, and Fool for Love.
Tiffiny Kelley was born and raised in Kissimee, Fl. She started preforming in Show Choir at age 14 and dancing at age 22. She participated in show choir for 4 years and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for 3 years. Mrs. Tiffiny took 1 semester in Ballroom Dancing at UWF, 1 year of Ballroom Dance at Center Stage Ballroom, and a few years of taking Barre and Fitness Classes. Mrs. Tiffiny is a certified Barre Above with Pilates focus instructor and has training in Trapeze under April Joy Curcio. She is certified in SiRA Aerial Yoga Parents& Kids. Tiffiny is also the creator of all our Dancing for Joy Merchandise and is on our Marketing team creating some of the flyers you see. When Tiffiny Is not at the studio, she is an ESL Teacher, Manages her own company, TKS Creative and is a PTA Board Member at her 2 beautiful children’s school.

Moved onto Judy Bernard's Dancers and danced until age 12 tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop

As an adult i started private piano lessons until I was proficient in transposing music into other genres.
Moved onto guitar lessons.
Then onto private vocal classes to my last solo performance of an opera while 6 months pregnant with my son.
Later on auditioned and performed with a ladies Barbershop choir as a Baritone in Tampa.
I then fell in love with a new lifestyle of fitness. This then sparked a passion for teaching others and i taught step,double step, triple-step, spinning, weightlifting, pilates, yoga, zumba, bootcamp. For several years.
After suffering some injuries which led to a significant weight gain i took time off.
Miss Kimberly Romeo Started dancing at age 3, dancing for 15 years and 1 year of teaching. She attended Brandon School of Dance Arts(BSDA), competing on their dance teams. When she is not at Dancing for Joy, she works at Macy’s. Her goal for the year is to inspire as many young dancers to truly appreciate everything life gives them; making memories through movement.
Miss Candace danced/trained at many schools: a studio that came to her preschool(The Learning Gate), Brandon School of Dance Arts (BSDA), trained with Celeste Diaz at the North Brandon YMCA, and Judy’s Dance Academy (JDA). She was a part of JDA’s Ballet Ensemble preforming at Nativity's November Fest and was also a part of her church's Praise and Worship Dance dance team directed by Lesli Dahlke; She was also apart of CBCS Cheer Team for 2 years. A long with this she sings, and has a background in Musical Theater, singing, and acting since age 8. Singing and preforming in her church's shows, Children's choir at Seffner Elementary, Middle/High school choir and praise band at Central Baptist Christian School, winning a superior ranking in her choir competition as a soloist, and in High school she continued to dance, sing, and act in her show choir, Aquilla, at Brandon High School, singing as a First Soprano and Mezzo Soprano. She participated in Showcase of Show choirs, local choir and Show choir MPA's, Barbershop workshops, All-county choir, and Disney's Epcot Candlelight Processional during Christmas. Candace is currently employed at Chadwell Supply as a Customer Service Representative- Website Administrator and Special order - Cabinet Coordinator. She has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Trapeze, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theater, Praise and Worship dance, and is a certified Barre Above with Pilates Focus Instructor. Miss Candace is also on the marketing team, helping create some of the beautiful flyers you see.
Miss Katelyn Curcio starting dancing at a young age of 2, dancing for 15 years and teaching for 3 years. Kate has attended dance at: Brandon School of Dance Arts (BSDA) and Dancing for Joy. Miss Kate has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Trapeze, Acro, and Tap; and has choreographed some of our award-winning competition pieces. She is a certified Barre Above with Pilates Focus instructor and currently pursuing her degree to Master’s in dance & Minor in Business. She named Dancing for Joy 10 years ago and is the daughter of Mrs. April Joy Curcio. Miss Kate will be taking over the studio when Mrs. April “retires” one day.
